Celebrating Lou Ambrosy – With Gratitude and Warm Wishes

After an extraordinary and long-standing association with Noah’s Ark, we will be saying farewell to Lou Ambrosy, whose final day will be 25 June 2026.

Lou’s connection with Noah’s Ark spans more than four decades, beginning as an Occupational Therapy student on placement in 1980, before leading a Thursday night hobby group for children and young people. From these early beginnings, Lou built a career defined by deep commitment, adaptability, and lasting impact.  

A defining feature of Lou’s career has been her contribution to learning and development. From early work in the SET equipment program supporting inclusion in early childhood settings, through to leading the design and delivery of training programs, and ultimately serving as Training Manager, Lou has helped build capability not only within Noah’s Ark, but across the broader sector. Her reputation as a trusted and generous educator is recognised by colleagues and partners alike.

In recent years, Lou has continued to share her expertise as Training Manager, mentoring others to facilitate with skill and confidence. Lou’s most recent role, Community Engagement Consultant—enhanced our ongoing strong connections with the communities we support.  

Lou’s impact goes beyond titles. Her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to inclusion have shaped the experiences of countless colleagues, children and families over many years.

Lou leaves a strong and enduring legacy in learning and development at Noah’s Ark. This work will continue through our dedicated Learning & Development team, who remain committed to building capability across our organisation and the sector.
