Each year, Noah’s Ark invites families to share their experience of our services through the Family Outcomes Survey.
This helps us understand what’s working well and where we can improve—ensuring our support continues to meet the needs of children and families.
What Families Told Us
In 2024–25, 140 families responded to the survey, representing 7% of those receiving services at the time. Families shared feedback across five key domains:
Learning and development:
86% agreed Noah’s Ark helped them
Education participation:
79% felt supported in educational settings
Knowing their rights:
77% felt more informed of their rights (↑5%)
Accessing the community:
76% felt supported in their community
Family life:
73% reported positive family impact
Families rated their likelihood to recommend Noah’s Ark to others at an average of 8.7 out of 10.
What Families Value Most
Open-ended responses highlighted the importance of:
- Practical, tailored strategies.
- Strong relationships with Key Workers.
- Creative approaches to engaging children.
- Clear communication, especially through “Record of Visit” emails.
- Support that helps families navigate challenges.
The term Key Worker appeared 27 times in responses, despite not being used in the survey questions—underscoring its central role in family experience.
Opportunities to Improve
While many families said “nothing” when asked what could be improved, others suggested:
- More allied health options (e.g. psychology, physiotherapy).
- Clearer explanation of the Key Worker role.
- More group programs and playgroups.
- Greater consistency in staffing.
- Enhanced telehealth options.
Families also expressed a desire for more opportunities to connect with other families, attend events, and access online resources.
