Noah’s Ark announces planned CEO transition
Noah’s Ark today announced that, after 26 years of dedicated service, its CEO John Forster has resigned. John’s final working day will be Friday 26 June 2026.
After more than two decades of sustained leadership, this moment represents a natural transition point for both John and Noah’s Ark, allowing thoughtful planning and continued stability for staff, families, and partners.
During his tenure, John has been a respected leader in the early childhood and disability sectors, contributing to practice, policy, and the growth of Noah’s Ark. The Board acknowledges John’s significant impact, thanks him for his long-standing commitment, and wishes him well for the future.
The Board President said the Board appreciates John’s leadership as CEO and his contribution to children, families, and communities – not only as CEO but through sector leadership positions with Early Childhood Intervention Australia, Professionals and Researchers in Early Childhood Intervention, the Victorian Disability Advisory Council, and the Victorian National Disability Insurance Scheme Implementation Taskforce – and has confidence in the organisation’s direction and experienced leadership team.
“Children and families remain at the centre of this organisation. The transition plan supports continuity of services and delivery of the strategic plan,” the Board President said.
With strong foundations in place, the Board has commenced a search process for the next Chief Executive Officer who will be well positioned to lead Noah’s Ark into its next chapter.
John Forster, CEO expressed gratitude to staff, families, partners, and supporters, and highlighted the organisation’s readiness for the future.
