About this Activity

This group program is a creative, block building (LEGO® & DUPLO) interest-based group run by experienced therapists. It aims to support family and child social communication development in a fun setting with peers.

Parent Involvement

Parents/carers are required to stay on-site, and to support their child to participate in the program (any child under 7 must have their parent in attendance).

To get the most out of this group you need to...

  • Be able to attend to an individual activity for a few minutes
  • Be developing communication skills to work in a group setting with peers and facilitators
  • Be developing the fine motor skills to put LEGO® pieces together.

Outcomes of the program:

  • Improved social skills, communication skills and technical skills and knowledge
  • Improved participation and inclusion in peer, family and/or community activities
  • Expanding on cognitive skills including problem solving.


Program details

The 4 week program includes:

  • 30-minute Individual Assessment
  • 4 Group Sessions of 1 hour each
  • 2.5 Preparation/Reporting hours (non Face-to-Face)

  • Bendigo: Thursday 8 January, Thursday 15 January, Thursday 22 January and Thursday 29 January 2026 from 10-11am.
  • Frankston: Monday 12 January, Tuesday 13 January, Monday 19 January and Tuesday 20 January 2026 from 9:30-10:30am.
  • Springvale: Tuesday 13 January, Thursday 15 January, Tuesday 20 January and Thursday 22 January 2026 from 9:30-10:30am.
  • Wangaratta: Tuesday 6 January, Tuesday 13 January, Thursday 15 January and Tuesday 20 January 2026 from 2-3pm.
