About this Activity
A Specialist Teacher designed program incorporating planning and practical ideas, focusing on supporting a successful transition to primary school for both parents and children.
Parent Involvement
Parents/carers are an integral part of the program and are required to stay on-site to actively participate in the program with their child.
To get the most out of this group your child will need to...
- Be commencing primary school in the next 6-12 months
- Be able to attend to an individual activity for a few minutes
- Be developing communication skills to work in a group setting with peers and facilitators.
Outcomes of the program:
- Improved child and/or parent confidence and independence
- Improved social skills, communication skills and technical skills
- Improved participation and inclusion in peer, family and/or community activities.
Program details
The 3 day program includes:
- 1 hour Individual Assessment (pre and post-session)
- 3 Group Sessions of 2 hours each
- 3 Preparation/Reporting hours (non Face-to-Face)
