About this Activity
A physiotherapist designed, and Allied Health Professional delivered group supporting children to develop soccer specific gross-motor skills to support their transition to community sport. Build your love for the game with equally passionate therapists.
Parent involvement
- Parents/carers are required to stay on-site, and to support their child to participate in the program.
- Parents are able to sign their child in to the group, stay within the vicinity of the group, and re-join the group 15 minutes before the finish time (only available for participants 7 years or older).
To get the most out of this group you need to...
- Be aged between 7-11 years old
- Have an interest in playing soccer and working on ball skills
- Be responsive to listening, following directions and small group work.
Outcomes:
- Improved child/parent confidence and independence
- Improved participation and inclusion in peer, family and/or community
- Developing gross motor skills, including body-awareness and strength.
What does the program include?
- 1 hour Individual Assessment
- 2 Group Sessions of 2 hours each
- 2.5 Preparation/Reporting hours (non Face-to-Face)
