Course Overview

Join our dynamic interactive webinar, offering flexibility and convenience, allowing learners to participate from anywhere with an internet connection.

This workshop explores why supporting our children to be involved in discussions and decision-making is important, both now and for their future. It highlights the important role that caregivers play in supporting their child’s developing agency and how they can further support this as a ‘skilled-adult guide’. Barriers and opportunities will be explored and additional strategies identified that support children to express their thoughts and over time and with practice, build decision-making skills that will support them now and in the future.

Did you know that fostering your child's independence and decision-making skills can start at an early age? Supporting a child’s ‘agency’ enhances many areas of their development and helps build essential skills for when they are an adult. Join our interactive workshop to discover practical tools that empower your child and set them up for long-term success.

This workshop will provide you with:

  • An understanding of what child agency is and why it’s important
  • Strategies to support your child to share their thoughts and feelings that take into account their age, and learning style
  • Strategies to support your child to be more involved in decision making over time in line with your family values and preferences
  • A safe space to share and learn with other parents.
